Project Overview

Cranbrook's House Party series is a celebration, and the winter edition needed to feel like a fairytale: magical, a little mysterious, and unmistakably Cranbrook.

We found the idea in the archives. A historic tapestry and Scandinavian folk art inspired a cast of woodland creatures, each carrying Cranbrook symbols that nod to campus winter traditions and partner institutions.

We built it as a flexible kit of parts: illustrations, watercolor textures, and geometric icons. From it came invitations and program booklets, plus concepts for drink tickets, social graphics, and banners.

A Winter's Tale was our first House Party for Cranbrook. We've designed the series every year since.
